Devonshires’ charity cheque presentation 2024

This month we welcomed our partner charities to our London office for a cheque presentation in recognition of the invaluable work they do.

Demelza Hospice Care for ChildrenRefugeSt. George’s Crypt, and the Theatre Royal Stratford East each received cheques of £10,840.75 as reflection of the firm’s fundraising efforts over the past 12 months. This will provide the charities with much needed funds to allow them to continue the vital support they provide to their communities.

We are also delighted to announce we will be continuing to support St. George’s Crypt and Theatre Royal Stratford East, along with two new partner charities, Birmingham Central Foodbank and SkyWay, into 2026.

Elad Yasdi, CSR Partner at Devonshires, said: “We’re deeply passionate about our CSR programme as a firm. We take great pride in supporting these incredible charities whose work makes a significant difference to those they support.”

Representatives of the four charities have also expressed their gratitude:

“Thank you to everyone at Devonshires for supporting Demelza this year, your ongoing support has allowed us to have a more significant and sustainable impact for the future. Your funds have helped towards the recruitment of one of our specialist health care assistants who provide clinical care and support for the children, young people and their families that use our services.  This can include anything from administering medication, ‘lifeguarding’ for the hydro pool, end of life and bereavement care, supporting families in the community and everything in between. Thank you for all your support, you have made a huge difference to our work.”

 - Anyès Sineux-Reading, Corporate Partnerships Account Manager at Demelza Hospice Care for Children

“Thank you to the Devonshires, with the long-term support from Devonshires we have been able to continue to provide emergency services to the homeless and vulnerable people in Leeds. Our addiction recovery programme “Growing Rooms” has expanded to include females now and is the only one of its type in Yorkshire. Devonshires have been key to growing the scope of the Crypt allowing us to care for more people and help to show more people a different way of life. A huge thank you from all of us at St Georges Crypt for all the support.”

 - Richard Leavis, Corporate fundraiser at St. George’s Crypt

“Stratford East works to be a neighbour theatre in an area of London with very little cultural provision. We are committed to keeping theatre affordable for all, and to make it a welcoming space for all. The support that Devonshire's gives allows us to run schemes like our Community Ambassadors scheme which gives free tickets to local people who have never visited the theatre. It also allows us to run our work in the community opening up routes into employment in the creative industries for local young people, and events for people of all ages to unlock their own creativity. We are so grateful for your support which keeps this important work going.”

 - Eleanor Lang, Executive Director & Co-CEO at Theatre Royal Stratford East

“Every two minutes, someone turns to Refuge for help. The generous donation from Devonshires will enable our vital services such as our 24-hour Helpline and our 53 refuges to keep running, for women and their children when they are at their most vulnerable. We are deeply grateful to Devonshires for standing with us in this critical fight against domestic abuse”.

 - Trishna Datta, Senior Community Engagement Executive at Refuge

We are extremely grateful to our colleagues, Partners, and supporters who have helped us in raising these funds.
