On Thursday 5 June, we held our annual charity cheque presentation, recognising the amazing work and achievements of our four partner charities.
Birmingham Central Foodbank, SkyWay, St. George’s Crypt, and the Theatre Royal Stratford East each received a cheque for £12,094, reflecting donations and fundraising efforts by all at Devonshires over the course of the 24/25 financial year. Our donation will provide the charities with much needed funds to allow them to continue the important work that is so vital to those in the communities they support.
From taking part in quiz nights to organising charity bake sales and various sporting events throughout the year, we want to thank all of our generous colleagues and supporters who have had a helping hand in raising this total.
“We are very grateful for the partnership we have with Devonshires, both for their fundraising efforts and for the time their amazing team have spent taking part in many initiatives with SkyWay throughout the year. The partnership has significantly helped us in our goal to support young people recognise their own potential, raise their aspirations and overcome barriers they may face in life.”
Sam Mars, Head of Fundraising and Communications, SkyWay Charity, London
"Thanks to the long-term support from Devonshires we have been able to continue to provide our emergency services for vulnerable people in Leeds in times of crisis and to develop our other services including our addiction recovery programme "Growing Rooms". Devonshires have been key to increasing awareness of our work both in Leeds and London which is equally important to us. A huge thank you from all of us at St Georges Crypt for all that you do.”
Richard Leavis, Corporate Fundraiser, St George's Crypt
The support we have received from Devonshires since becoming a charity Partner in 2024 makes a big difference to the work we do to combat poverty and hunger in the local community in Birmingham. In the last year, as well as providing food parcels, we have been able to introduce new services for those that come into the food bank – offering financial and mental health services, helping those in crisis to turn things around. Thank you so much for the incredible effort you put into your fundraising, food collections and volunteering throughout the year.”
Eli Holland, Head of Foodbank, Birmingham Central Foodbank
“Our valued partnership with Devonshires is in its 14th year and we are incredibly grateful for their support to help us fulfil our mission of making great theatre accessible to all.”
Catherine Thornborrow, Interim Executive Director at Theatre Royal Stratford East
Elad Yasdi, CSR Partner at Devonshires, said:
“It has been another great year working with these four amazing charities. Alongside the fundraising efforts, its been wonderful for the Devonshires team to continue to build strong relationships with them and their communities. We are extremely grateful to our colleagues, Partners, and supporters who have helped us in raising these funds and we are honoured to provide these charities with all the help they deserve.”
