Devonshires acts as Origin Housing joins the Places for People Group

On 16 April, Origin Housing – with its 7,800 homes across London and the Home Counties – formally joined Places for People Group as a subsidiary and will begin to transition fully into the group over the next year. Our Banking, Corporate and Regulatory teams acted as joint legal advisers to Places for People and Origin Housing on the transaction.

The multi-disciplinary Devonshires team advised on all aspects of the transaction from its inception including all corporate structuring, governance matters and banking and treasury work.

Rachel Orgill-Harris, Partner at Devonshires said: “Origin Housing celebrates its 100 year anniversary this year and we are delighted to have played a part in ensuring that it can continue to build on its legacy of delivering affordable, quality housing as part of the Places for People Group.”

Matthew Waters, Partner led on the Corporate and Regulatory work alongside Senior Associate Sharon Thandi.

Rachel Orgill-Harris, Partner led on the Banking work alongside Julian Barker, Partner and Michelle Pascua, Solicitor.
