On 22 August 2023, Devonshires held a charity cheque presentation to recognise the invaluable work that our four partner charities do.
We were delighted to welcome charities Demelza Hospice Care for Children, Refuge, St. George’s Crypt and the Theatre Royal Stratford East to our London Office where we presented them with cheques reflecting our fundraising over the past year.
This event was also attended by members of our CSR Committee as well as some of our Partners in the firm.
Devonshires have donated a total of £40,000 to our four partner charities in the last 12 months which will help to support our partner charities to continue their all-important work.
We are grateful to our staff and supporters who assisted us to raise this amount.
Anyès Sineux-Reading, Corporate Partnerships Account Manager at my Demelza Hospice Care for Children, said: “We are thrilled that Devonshires has chosen Demelza as one of their charities. We are so appreciative of all their initiatives undertaken to raise funds for Demelza. This generous cheque will help many families at Demelza and will allow us to deliver our services to more children. Thank you to Devonshires for working with us and helping us to deliver extraordinary care for extraordinary children.”
Trishna Datta, Senior Community Fundraising Executive at Refuge, said: “Thanks to our partnership with Devonshires, we can continue to support every woman and their children in urgent need of our help. Whether that’s by keeping our helpline open, running a refuge or ensuring a woman is able to speak to one our advocates who can support them during a crisis.”
Amanda Bennett, Fundraising Head of Relations at St. George’s Crypt, said: “Thanks to the long-term support from Devonshires we have been able to continue to provide our emergency services for vulnerable people in Leeds in times of crisis and to develop our other services including our addiction recovery programme "Growing Rooms". Devonshires have been key to increasing awareness of our work both in Leeds and London which is equally important to us. A huge thank you from all of us at St Georges Crypt for all that you do.”
Faiza Abdulkadir, Senior Development Manager at Theatre Royal Stratford East, said: “Theatre Royal Stratford East is a registered charity and relies on the support of our funders to keep producing thought-provoking radical theatre in Newham, East London. Without this support, we cannot continue delivering free programmes to our local communities, young people and champion those who are underrepresented in the arts. Thank you again!”
Elad Yasdi, CSR Partner at Devonshires, said: “As a firm our CSR programme is something we are all very passionate about and we are immensely proud to support these remarkable charities, whose tireless efforts have a profound impact in the wider community.”
We are honoured to be able to play our part in supporting our partner charities to provide vital resources and services to the people in our communities.
